holiday break in the rear view mirror...

it's hard to believe that i finished my first semester at regent college nearly a month ago. the holiday break flew by, and now i sit here about to start a new set of classes tomorrow. before my memory gets blurred from a new round of lectures, research papers, exams, and thousands of pages of course reading i thought i'd let you in on what we did over the holidays.

we stayed in vancouver for the first half of our break while karen worked through the Christmas season at starbucks. we celebrated jeremiah's first birthday (12.18.05) and Christmas with the family that lives above us (they also happen to be our landlords). while karen was at work, i stayed home with jeremiah, caught up on some sleep, watched tv, and worked ahead on this upcoming semester's reading.

on dec 29 we flew back home to spend a couple weeks with family. jeremiah got to see all of his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and his lone cousin, abbey. our visit brought about two more birthday parties and two more Christmas celebrations. i guess you could say we got a lot more than just gifts from those we visited, because our visit also brought about a case of bronchitis for jeremiah and a cold for the two of us.

we arrived back in vancouver just a couple days ago after being in ohio for over two weeks. we had a great time back home but it feels good to no longer be living out of a suitcase. karen started back to work yesterday and as mentioned i'm back on campus tomorrow.

Well by the looks of you, ya sure went hippe after getting out. We got your card today. All is well here. Lets see Maze and Chilly went to Vandy land. Inspections as normal went flawless....ya know the O-6s keep saying we rock. Rileigh is doing great growing and getting into everything. I am glad school is going well. We will probably be going to WPAFB in Sept/Oct of this year. Back home finally. We may have +1 by then too. Crossing the fingers. Candi says hi and baby looks big. Well must put the little one away. Keep in touch.

p.s. today is our second day of snow thus far and we have only had one day of - temps without wind chill.
